Imperator rome cicero7/1/2023 ![]() I don't care about Paradox DLC politics and I can deal with the lack of flavor, but at least give me a gameplay that works like a clockwork. IMHO, the game has much bigger problems that should have been addressed first, like the problems with families dying out too much, the broken diplomatic range calculation or the silly situations generated by the irreallistic size-limited diplomacy system. I'm not saying that I want to stay to only 4-buildings, just that I really don't care and that it didn't detract from my enjoyement of the game. Amirite, guys!?! Because that's so much more fun! Otherwise the game becomes SIM CITY! Really? You were fine with 4 buildings and all of that obvious empty space below them for more buildings to come in future DLCs until the backlash was so great and the playerbase so tiny as to force Johan to give away a potentially $19.99 DLC for free? Really? You should petition Johan to keep the game a 4-buildings-only experience. I don't see how more development options won't add to gameplay. More buildings means more options in your holdings that will necessarily alter the economic and military side of things. ![]() In fact, I find it hard to imagine a situation where having 20 buildings versus having 4 buildings wouldn't "add anything to the gameplay." Maybe if all 20 building types had the exact same modifier bonus. More modifier choices allow for more play styles. These are gold sinks that give you modifiers and they have different icons to look at. It's always more fun to have more options in your territories. I wasn't saying anything about depth or complexity, nor did I equate them. They could add a thousand new buildings, and it would only detract from the game if that content didn't actually add anything to the gameplay. Amirite, guys!?! Because that's so much more fun! In Cicero there will be 15 different ones, working like before, with the amount of population being the primary deciding how many building-levels you can have in a city. However, since most of you guys don't appear to want to go to their official boards for news of the game, here's the main text from his post.Īnother complaint about Imperator have been the lack of variation and flavour among the buildings you can build in a city, where we had 4 different ones. Johan announced that there will be 15 building types in the next update for the game in this post: ![]()
